Management Team

The management team at River Hills provides well over a century of exceptional and combined experience in the hospitality, recreation and entertainment industries. We truly believe that our “family” team culture allows us to provide genuine and true service from both professional and personal care to our team, Members, guests and the general community that surrounds River Hills. The entire staff is involved and delighted to search for new standards and exceed expectations. Our team believes in “doing outside the box” and not just “thinking outside the box”. Our team is dedicated to not being a “cookie cutter” operation. In a world of constant change our team does not seek to be competitive. Rather, we truly believe that making others in our marketplace irrelevant by clearly defined goals and objectives that differentiate us as being a NEW kind of private country club.

Bryan McManis | General Manager
A member of the PGA of America for 20 years, Bryan’s background includes tenure and experience at a 54-hole Private facility playing 96,000 rounds annually. Having founded the Golf Academy at his previous club, the program raised the level of instruction offered to members at all age and experience levels.  With a focus on creating meaningful member experiences and being in touch with member expectations. Bryan emphasizes  cultivated programs to meet and exceed member needs.  He is committed to making River Hills Country Club the leader in this market.

Margie Martin | Membership Sales & Marketing Director
Margie was most recently the Director of Membership and Event Sales at TPC Tampa Bay where she led those efforts for (8) years. Prior to her PGA Tour association, she was the Membership Director at Tampa Palms for (8) years. She is exceptionally knowledgeable in sales, marketing, social programming, communication and standards within the club industry and Tampa market. Margie's personality, ethics and integrity are beyond reproach. Margie joined our team immediately after the sale as she saw the raw potential of a NEW River Hills Country Club and the opportunities to help build a structure of trust and loyalty as a leader to our membership vision. Margie attended USF and received a degree in General Business Administration.

Eric Pacana | PGA Head Golf Professional
Eric heads up the golf operations for tournaments, merchandising, range, golf cars and everyday operations. As the former PGA First Assistant Professional at the famed Bellair Country Club (oldest private club in FL), Clearwater, FL, he is a consummate professional in member service, golf instruction, tournament operations and the rules of golf. As a golf professional he wears many hats and does so very well when it comes to setting standards for this very important role as the face of River Hills Country Club golf.

Drew MacPherson | Director of Instruction 
Drew Macpherson is a highly accomplished golf professional with over 25 years of coaching experience. He has worked at some of the game’s most respected teaching institutions, including the Jim McLean Golf Schools, and is currently based at River Hills Country Club in Valrico, Florida. Drew has coached golfers at every level of the game, from beginners and intermediate players to junior golfers, club champions, and NCAA champions. His experience includes working with elite collegiate athletes as well as competitive juniors preparing for the next level. Known for his fun, energetic, and motivating coaching style, Drew emphasizes the importance of solid fundamentals, efficient training methods, and purposeful practice habits. He believes that understanding how to train and how to practice is the key to unlocking consistent improvement and taking performance from the range to the course. Drew specializes in short game, full swing development, and—most notably—helping players translate their range game into real on-course results. Notable students include John-Michael Coltus, winner of the Jack Nicklaus Award and NCAA Freshman of the Year, as well as Ronav Bennick, Colgate University freshman (Class of 2025), along with multiple high-level junior competitors. Whether you’re just starting out or striving to compete at a higher level, Drew is dedicated to helping you play better golf the right way.

Mark Patterson, GCSAA | Director of Agronomy
Mark Patterson brings over 30 years of experience in golf course agronomy, turf management, and course renovation. As Director of Agronomy at River Hills Country Club in Valrico, Florida, he has led a major transformation in course conditions, earning strong member support and driving growth. Known for his hands-on leadership and deep technical knowledge, Mark specializes in turf renovation, irrigation management, and long-term maintenance planning. His work blends precision, efficiency, and a passion for delivering top-tier playing conditions!

Shane Turi | House and Service Manager
Shane has served in the most positions at RHCC since his start over a decade ago in the golf department. That is a tribute to the care and service he has always offered to ensure the dining areas and the clubhouse are ready for regular dining and special events. These focuses lure Members and Guests to relax.

Andy Bonner | Executive Chef
Chef Andy brings over 30 years of culinary experience to the club with the last 18 years being spent in the Sarasota/Bradenton private club market at University Park Country Club and Lakewood Ranch Country Club respectfully. We look forward to experiencing the new opportunities and tasty creations that Chef Paul will provide our members and guests.  

Ignacio Molina | USTA Head Tennis Professional
"Iggy" has spearheaded our Tennis Program since 2016. He oversees the tennis facility, manages the tennis staff, organizes league play as well as runs the summer camps and clinics at the Club. He is passionate for the game of tennis and specializes in teaching private, one-on-one or group style lessons.
